Celcom has a new promotion for its pay-per-use broadband package, the Broadband Daily Unlimited.

During the promotion period, the Broadband Daily Unlimited service will be lowered to RM6 from the current RM8 for 24 hours of usage.

The package will allow users to access broadband connectivity without having to subscribe to a longterm plan.

“The Daily Unlimited package offers convenience for users who don’t often use the Internet and saves them the hassle of searching for a WiFi hotspot,” said Kevin Henry, Celcom’s vice-president of business innovation division.

“Users will be able to enjoy the flexibility of using the service with any device with 3G or HSDPA by surfing on the device itself or linking it with a laptop.”

According to Celcom, the Broadband Daily Unlimited service will offer broadband surfing speeds of up to 384Kbps (kilobits per second).

To subscribe to the service, users can either type Broadband daily and send it to 28882 or dial *118# from a mobile phone and select Broadband Daily.

The promotion is valid from October 28 to Jan 28 2009.
