TuneTalk launches lowest prepaid rates

Petaling Jaya, 20 Aug- Tune Talk officially launched its commercial service yesterday and officially has one the lowest rates in the country at 22 cents, and 5 cents for each SMS for one flat rate across all carriers.

TuneTalk is set with the 010 pre-fix, and Malaysia’s newest carrier is a MVNO running on Celcom’s 2.5G network, but will only launch their GPRS data services next month. Customers can also expect value added services like RM 100,000 Personal Accident coverage from Etiqa Insurance. TuneTalk is giving away RM 1 million worth of AirAsia E-Gift to its top 10 callers everyday for the next 12 months.

The MVNO states an ASEAN rollout is underway within three years, and that MNVO deals with network operator in Singapore, Indonesia, Thailand, the Philippines and Cambodia. TuneTalk assured that when it begins it ASEAN rollout, the rates would remain the same across ASEAN.

TuneTalk CEO Jason Lo said they (Tunetalk) expected a million signups from the rollout. The MVNO is jointly owned by Celcom and Tune Ventures Sdn Bhd.
