DiGi is Malaysia’s most innovative company
SHAH ALAM: DiGi Telecommunications Sdn Bhd is the most innovative company in the country, according to the Wall Street Journal’s Asia’s Most Admired Companies Survey.
It is also the third most admired company, after financial powerhouse Public Bank Bhd and consumer products giant Nestle Bhd in that order.
The Journal’s annual survey is done on a country-by-country basis. It has one main category and five sub-categories — long-term vision, quality, corporate reputation, financial reputation and innovation.
DiGi, which is one of the three cellular service providers in the country, took third place in the long-term vision sub-category and was fifth in the quality segment of the survey.
“We are thrilled with this recognition and will continue to push the boundaries in ensuring excellent customer experiences,” Johan Dennelind, chief executive officer of DiGi, said in a press release.
The survey was conducted last year and 2,622 of the newspaper’s subscribers in 12 Asia Pacific countries took part. It covers Asian companies that trade on stock exchanges, as well as multinationals in the region.
