MWg Zinc II introduced

Mobile and Wireless Group (MWg) recently unveiled the Zinc II – the latest addition to the company’s collection of smartphones.

The Zinc II is a powerful device – installed with Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional powered with Samsung 500MHz processor, 64MB SDRAM and 256MB flash ROM. This smartphone also comes with a SiRF Star III chipset which should keep users on the right roads. However there is no word about any preinstalled navigation software. Their Atom V did come with Agis maps and NavFone, so it could be the same setup for the Zinc II.

Equipped with a full slide-out QWERTY keyboard and a 2.8 inch TFT QVGA LCD touch screen, the phone also has HSDPA, Bluetooth 2.0 and WiFi b/g.

The Zinc II is available at all authorized MWg dealers and is currently priced at RM2,588 (inclusive a 12 month local warranty).
