Nokia Poland let slip Supernova secret
Nokia is apparently working on a new line up of phones for ladies. Expect lots of pink with the Nokia 7310 Supernova, 7510 Supernova and 7610 Supernova. All three phones are running on the S40 platform. The phones haven’t been officially announced, but Nokia’s Polish website has accidentally revealed what they look like. The pictures were later removed, but not swift enough for techies to get a hold of them.
The Nokia 7310 Supernova comes with a 2 megapixel camera, a 2.2 inch QVGA screen, FM radio, Bluetooth and a 3.5 mm audio jack. At 83 grams, it’s ideal for women who prefer lightweight phones with basic functionalities. It sports a candy bar form factor.
The Nokia 7510 Supernova, meanwhile, is a clamshell phone. Its primary screen is a 2.2-inch QVGA (240 x 320), while the external display is a 160 x 128 pixel LCD. The device supports quadband GSM connectivity, a 2 megapixel camera (without autofocus, unfortunately), a microSD slot and an FM radio. Talk time is limited to 3 hours and the phone weighs 124 grams.
The Nokia 7610 Supernova is a quadband slider phone that sports a 2.2 inch QVGA screen, a 3.2 megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash capable of 8x digital zoom, an FM radio, a microSD slot and a 2.5 mm audio jack. What’s amazing about this model is it can record VGA resolution videos at 30 fps, something unprecedented in S40 phones.
A TV-out port will enable videos to be watched on the big screen. Talk time is estimated at about 5.4 hours and the phone weighs just 99 grams. Pricing and availability will be announced by Nokia when they officially launch the phones.
